To ensure immediate and permanent global access to all published research, AJ-RED operates as a Gold Open Access journal.
All accepted articles are freely available online upon publication, without embargo or access restrictions.

What the APC Covers: The fee includes the full cost of the peer-review process, professional copy-editing, DOI registration via Crossref, and long-term digital archiving.
Invoicing Policy: Authors are invoiced only after their manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. No submission fees are charged.
Standard Rate: The current flat APC is $500 USD per article — a competitive rate reflecting the full scope of editorial and publishing services provided, and significantly below the industry average for peer-reviewed defense and security journals.
Editorial Integrity: Payment of an APC does not influence editorial decisions. All submissions undergo a strict double-blind peer review process, ensuring that acceptance is based solely on academic merit and relevance.
